Resource Spotlight

CIRCA NCEast--Beaufort County Community College Learning Resources Center, in collaboration with Historic Bath and the George H. and Laura E. Brown Public Library, has developed a portal for a digital collection of scholarly, informative, and historically significant resources indigenous to this section of Eastern North Carolina.  These resources include maps, unpublished research reports, early 20th century photographs, colonial and maritime records, memorabilia, and objects in special or rare collections.

These are photos of the original Carolina Telephone Company office building taken in 1924. The building was completed in 1923 and is located on 135 West Second Street. Today, the company has a new name and this dwelling is known as the Sprint Central Office where the main office equipment is kept.
